Shahbaz Sharif: Pakistan is ready to support any actions of Qatar to protect its sovereignty

Pakistan expressed its readiness to support all measures taken by Qatar to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As the Qatari QNA news agency reports, this was stated by Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif at talks with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha.

The sides discussed the latest developments in the region, in particular the recent Israeli airstrikes on the Qatari capital, and efforts to achieve peace and stability.

The Pakistani Prime Minister expressed full solidarity with Qatar and its people, reaffirming support for all steps taken by Doha to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He emphasized that the recent Israeli attack is a gross violation of Qatar's sovereignty, contradicts international law and undermines both regional security and the prospects for a peaceful settlement in the Middle East.

Sharif praised the efforts of the Emir of Qatar aimed at ensuring stability and promoting peace initiatives in the region.

The sides discussed the development of bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in all areas, as well as exchanged views on current regional and international developments, in particular the situation in the Middle East.

Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Doha today on a one-day visit to express solidarity with the people of Qatar in connection with the Israeli attack on September 9. Israeli Air Force planes carried out a series of strikes on the Qatari capital of Doha, where Hamas was negotiating a US proposal for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. In Israel, the operation was called the "Fire Summit" and announced the elimination of all targets. report.az.
