Jaloliddin Manguberdi Complex will become a spirituality and patriotism center

    The President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the construction of the Jaloliddin Manguberdi Complex in the city of Urgench.

    The project of the complex was discussed during the previous visit of the President to the region and was finalized taking into account the opinions of specialists. The complex will occupy an area of ​​about 8 hectares at the intersection of Al Khorezmi and Islam Karimov streets. The foundation of the monument is being laid. A bronze monument to Jaloliddin Manguberdi was made in the image of a commander sitting on a horse and holding a sword. The height of the monument will be almost 25 meters.

    The Head of the state instructed to enrich the maintenance of the complex and create better conditions on the territory.

    “This place should serve as a center of knowledge, spirituality, pride for the country. It is necessary to make sure that visitors could not only walk, relax, but also get a clear idea of ​​the life and work of Manguberdi, become inspired. Information about his battles and exploits can be posted along the alley. It is also necessary to prepare guides with a good knowledge of history and foreign languages”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

    The President also inspected the tunnel along Al Khorezmi Street.

    After the completion of the construction, the territory of the complex will be landscaped, decorative trees will be planted, fountains will be built. It is planned to lay pedestrian and bicycle paths, organize tourist services.

    Instructions were given on the organization of the operation of the complex, including the creation of conditions for holding celebrations and festivals.
