    Uzbekistan and Russia have signed a protocol on market access as part of the negotiation process for the republic's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). This was announced by Azizbek Urunov, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan on WTO issues.

    "Together with the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov, we signed a protocol concluding our bilateral negotiations on market access as part of the process of Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization," Azizbek Urunov wrote on his LinkedIn page.

    According to him, the negotiations were held in a meaningful and constructive format and ended with a positive result.

    A. Urunov also noted that the main focus is now on multilateral negotiations, the completion of the necessary legislative changes and the successful completion of the accession process next year.
