He sprayed pepper spray inside the building and then stabbed a security guard and a fourth-grade student. The boy died as a result of his injuries.
"Today at 9:00 AM, a report was received by the police stating that a student had stabbed a guard, sprayed pepper spray, and then knifed a ten-year-old student, who subsequently died from the wound," the Moscow Region police reported. "We are in deep sorrow; a boy who was a fourth-grade student at the school has passed away," Ksenia Mishonova, the Children's Rights Ombudsman for the Moscow Region, wrote on Telegram.
According to law enforcement agencies, the attacker is a 15-year-old student of the same school. He has been detained. The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case for murder and attempted murder.
The Uspenskaya General Secondary School is located in the village of Gorki-2, Odintsovo district, which borders Moscow directly in the western part of the Moscow Region. More than a thousand students, including those from neighboring villages, study at the school.
After emergency services arrived at the school building, some students were evacuated to a nearby Youth Center, reported by delfi.lt.
