The event was attended by 2,100 representatives from 75 countries. Uzbekistan was represented at the festival by the Karakalpak State National Folklore Ensemble "Aikulash", the Dunyo news agency reports.
At the opening ceremony of the event, the Governor of the Istanbul region, Ekrem Imamoglu, delivered his speech and wished all participants good luck.
Uzbek and Karakalpak national melodies, dances and songs made a great impression on all those gathered, revealed the richness and charm of our culture.
The guests of the festival were presented with video materials and booklets about the tourist opportunities of Uzbekistan, in particular the historical, cultural and holy sites of the cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Ferghana, Termez and Khiva. They were also able to get acquainted with information about the development of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan, the benefits offered to travel companies, as well as the measures taken to ensure the safety of foreign guests.
Following the results of the festival, the Aikulash ensemble won in the nominations "Best Ensemble" and "Best Performer of traditional Music", once again raising the flag of our country high.
