Reports have spread on some social networks about an allegedly impending powerful earthquake with a magnitude above 7, which is expected to occur in one of the seismically active regions of the eastern hemisphere in two days. The reason is called a strong magnetic storm.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations states that the seismic activity is not related to magnetic storms. In addition, it is impossible to predict the exact time and place of a possible earthquake.

In this regard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens not to panic and not to trust false information.

It is also reported that according to the observations of the Seismic Monitoring Center at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, currently no abnormal changes have been detected in Uzbekistan, indicating the likelihood of strong earthquakes.
