Inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus reach a new level

    On September 6, the parliamentary delegation headed by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko.

    During the dialogue, the Uzbek-Belarusian cooperation, in particular the issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, the development of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and the field of entrepreneurship, became the focus of attention.

    It was noted that inter-parliamentary dialogue plays an important role in bilateral relations. It was stressed that the parliamentarians of the two countries actively cooperate within the framework of such international parliamentary organizations as the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Interparliamentary Union.

    It was noted that parliamentarians should make every effort to ensure effective parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.

    In addition, the issues of the first business forum of business circles and women entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus, which will be held in Minsk, and the active participation of women entrepreneurs in it were discussed. The hope was expressed that this forum will become an effective platform for discussing and developing new proposals for the development of women's entrepreneurship and strengthening trade and economic ties between our countries.

    The sides also exchanged views on further development of cooperation in cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
