During the meeting, the results of a joint project to strengthen the potential of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of digital economic diplomacy in 2022 were summed up.
It was noted that within the framework of the project, the Concept of proactive economic diplomacy of the New Uzbekistan and the brochure "New Uzbekistan: Seizing Opportunities" were developed for distribution among foreign partners.
A training seminar on strengthening economic diplomacy skills with the participation of international experts and a special English course "English for Professionals in Economic Diplomacy" were organized for young diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition, digital digests have been prepared on the latest developments in the economic life of Uzbekistan, ongoing reforms and new opportunities for foreign business. Digests were distributed among more than 2 thousand representatives of the international business community and the diplomatic corps.
Within the framework of the project, a "Telegram channel" dedicated to economic diplomacy has been launched, which currently has 3,200 subscribers. An interactive web portal "Economic Diplomacy" is being completed, which will provide information support for both foreign companies and local entrepreneurs.
M.. Dimovska noted that in recent years Uzbekistan has embarked on a decisive path of large-scale reforms and openness, which has had a powerful effect, including on Central Asia. UNDP welcomes Uzbekistan's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The UNDP confirmed its readiness to continue to actively cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the implementation of promising projects, including within the framework of the administrative reform initiated in our country, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
