During the talks, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its further expansion. The joint work carried out within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2021 was highly appreciated. The need to further strengthen cooperation and exchange experience in the legal field was emphasized.
Following the meeting, a new document was signed - the Cooperation Program for 2025-2026. It covers the following areas:
- retraining and advanced training of legal personnel;
- exchange of experience on the resolution of international trade disputes and the application of the Singapore Mediation Convention;
- legal protection of the interests of States in international disputes;
- study of national and international practice of ensuring the rule of law;
- interaction between the Singapore Legal Aid Bureau and the Uzbek NGO "Madad".
The implementation of the program is expected to bring cooperation between Uzbekistan and Singapore in the legal field to a qualitatively new stage, contributing to strengthening the rule of law and developing the institution of legal aid in both countries.
