The Ministers of Transport of the ECO member countries adopted the "Ankara Declaration"

On February 2 of this year, the 11th meeting of Transport Ministers of the member States of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) took place. The meeting, which took place in the form of a videoconference, was organized in cooperation with the ECO secretariat under the chairmanship of Turkey.

In addition to the ECO member States, the heads of a number of international organizations also took part in it. The delegation of Uzbekistan was headed by the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov.

The participants discussed the possibility of facilitating and restoring transit cargo transportation in the post-pandemic period. Recommendations were also considered to improve the stability of cargo transportation in the region, including ensuring a continuous supply chain through the ECO countries.

Following the results of the 11th meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the ECO member states, the "Ankara Declaration" was adopted, the press service of the Ministry of Transport reports.
