Mufti of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed prospects of cooperation

    On November 27, the chairman of the Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar Hazrat held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai kazhi Taganuly.

    During the warm dialogue, Hazrat Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar thanked the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan Nauryzbai Kazhi for his active participation in prestigious events and international conferences in Tashkent, Bukhara and highly appreciated the performances of Kazakh ulema at the international forum. In turn, the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan wished success, expressing gratitude for the sincere invitation, kind blessings and wishes.

    According to the press service of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, it was also noted at the meeting that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan is consistently developing in the religious and educational spheres, further strengthening the brotherhood between our peoples, and interaction has reached a new level thanks to the rational policy of the heads of the two states.

    During the dialogue, it was emphasized that the practical significance of the Uzbek side's proposal to establish a Fatwa Board under the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States is very high. It was noted that this Board is more significant because it deals with such important tasks as drafting fatwas on global issues, coordinating the activities of fatwa structures.

    Hazarat Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar also touched upon the good deeds carried out in cooperation between the spiritual administrations of the two states, the satisfaction of the religious needs of Muslim believers, in particular the joint development of global fatwas, the correct provision of the religious needs of fraternal peoples.
