One of the most important agreements signed was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uz Oman Capital on the organization of a Central Asian Direct Investment Fund.
In addition, the following agreements were signed:
· Agreement on the implementation of a project for the construction of a solar power plant and energy storage systems;
· Agreement on the construction of a 1,400 MW thermal power plant in the Tashkent region;
· Agreement on the implementation of a project to create underground storage facilities, organize educational programs for young people, build plants for processing medical, hazardous and agricultural waste, grow bamboo and develop gold deposits;
· Agreement on the construction of 500 MW solar photovoltaic power plants in Besharyk district of Ferghana region and 200 MW in Papi district of Namangan region;
· Agreement on the preparation of project documentation for the construction of a new highway connecting the Sariosi district of Surkhandarya region and Kashkadarya region;
· Agreement on the construction of a concentrated solar power plant; Agreement on the creation of modern multi-storey residential and office buildings in the town of Novy Namangan;
· Agreement on the construction of 400 km of power transmission line and a new substation connecting the Navoi thermal power plant and the Yoshlik substation;
· Memorandum of Understanding on the construction of a small hydroelectric power station;
· Agreement on the Processing of Hazardous Waste for Electricity Generation.
In addition, several more agreements were signed aimed at the development of industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and other sectors of Uzbekistan.
Local and foreign partners unanimously noted that the signed agreements will contribute to the development of investment ties.
Experts stressed that such agreements would not only improve the business environment, but also create new opportunities at the international level.
