It was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus are being comprehensively strengthened, thanks to the joint efforts of the leaders of the countries, bilateral relations are developing in a trusting and friendly atmosphere.
Mutual meetings and events held on a regular basis make it possible to effectively organize an inter-parliamentary dialogue, effective parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level in the field of economy, trade and industry. Inter-parliamentary friendship groups established in the upper chambers of the parliaments of the two countries occupy an important place in this process.
The sides stressed that the parliamentarians of the two countries actively cooperate within the framework of such international parliamentary organizations as the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Interparliamentary Union.
Proposals have been put forward on such issues as the exchange of experience in the field of lawmaking, gender and youth policy, the expansion and deepening of cooperation between the regions of our countries through the forum of regions, as well as the establishment of cooperation in the field of digital development of the regions.
An agreement has been reached on the legal support within the framework of the activities of the parliaments of the agreements reached between the two states in various fields.
The hope was expressed that the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly will bring relations to a new level.
Special attention was paid to the upcoming forum, which will become an effective platform for discussing and developing new proposals for the development of women's entrepreneurship and strengthening trade and economic ties between our countries. It was noted that the final document of the forum (declaration) will contribute to the implementation of new joint business projects with the participation of women entrepreneurs of the two countries.
Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva signed the Book of Honorary Guests of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
After that, a ceremony of signing documents on bilateral cooperation took place. The parties signed memoranda of cooperation between the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on cooperation between the Youth Council (Parliament) of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Youth Parliament of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as on cooperation between the Republican Public Association "Belarusian Union of Women" and the Committee on Family Affairs and women under the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
