The meeting discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, summed up the results of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres in 2022, and identified priority areas of cooperation for 2023.

It was noted that cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres does not correspond to the potential of the two countries. The sides exchanged views on improving joint mechanisms of economic diplomacy, in particular, by resuming the activities of the Joint Trade Committee between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

Special attention is paid to the prospects of enhancing cultural and humanitarian educational cooperation and building up interregional cooperation.

The need for further expansion of tourist exchanges, especially in the field of zierat tourism, was also stressed at the talks, practical aspects of the implementation of relevant joint projects were discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
