Provision of public services to the elderly and disabled will be simplified

The Decree of the President of Uzbekistan (UP No. 58 of 28.01.2022) "On further improvement of the system of material support for categories of the population in need of social protection" was adopted.

According to the Decree, from March 1, 2022:

monthly compensatory cash payments instead of housing and communal services benefits are assigned to all preferential categories of persons entitled to receive them, regardless of whether these persons receive a pension (social benefit) or not, as well as from their employment;
single persons in need of outside care will be compensated.

At the same time, a monthly compensation payment is assigned in the amount of 45 percent (130,050 soums) of the base amount for calculating the pension.

For persons receiving a social pension upon reaching the age of 100 and older, a monthly supplement is established - 100 percent of the base amount for calculating the pension (289 thousand soums).

At the same time, the financing of the surcharge is carried out at the expense of the republican budget and the extra-budgetary Pension Fund through an organization that assigns pensions and benefits, the legal channel of the Ministry of Justice reports.
