During the
discussion, it was noted that this document creates new opportunities in the
Republic of Uzbekistan for the international legal protection of intellectual
property objects, in particular geographical indications and names of places of
origin of goods. This is important for increasing the competitiveness of
domestic products and their effective entry into the world market.
The law
contributes to further improving the investment and business climate,
developing regional brands, increasing the country's export potential and
strengthening its positive image in the international arena.
According
to the senators, the adoption of the Law serves to improve the mechanisms for
protecting national intellectual property at the international level, support
the interests of domestic producers and increase Uzbekistan's competitiveness
in the global economic space.
The law was
approved by the senators.
