At the meeting, practical aspects of expanding the company’s activities in Uzbekistan were discussed, particularly the early launch of a production site for hybrid and electric cars in Jizzakh region with an increase in capacity in subsequent stages to 300 thousand vehicles.
The primary attention was paid to projects for localizing components and spare parts to reduce production costs and organizing the export of cars to third-country markets.
Plans for supplying BYD electric buses to Uzbekistan with the establishment of engineering and service centers were also supported.
