The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of enhancing trade and economic cooperation with India

    On the sidelines of the Ninth Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Republic of India led by the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman.

    Nirmala Sitharaman conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to the President of Uzbekistan.

    The issues of further developing the strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in accordance with the agreements at the highest level were discussed.

    The importance of careful preparation and holding of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in November this year and the adoption of the Industrial Cooperation Program within its framework was emphasized.

    Particular attention was paid to implementing projects in energy, petrochemicals, digitalization, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals, as well as developing transport corridors.
