The Leader of Azerbaijan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him robust health, well-being, and success in his state activities for the sake of sustainable development and prosperity of Uzbekistan.

The fruitful outcomes of the historic state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan earlier this month were noted with deep satisfaction.

It was emphasized that the implementation of the agreements reached during the leaders’ meetings and the second session of the Supreme Interstate Council would further strengthen allied relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan and enhance multifaceted cooperation.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of trade turnover has increased by 30 percent. Efforts are underway to form a portfolio of promising cooperative projects, including the establishment of an industrial zone and a logistics company. A Production Sharing Agreement has been signed concerning a strategic project in the oil and gas sector.

Preparations are underway for significant joint events to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
