It was noted that a meeting was held at the National Agency of Prospective Projects with representatives of Meta. They discussed the prospects of opening a Meta representative office in Uzbekistan, developing cooperation on preventing fraud in advertising promotion and placement on the company's platforms, as well as matters concerning content monetization and supporting digital content creators in the country.
Among the Meta representatives present at the meeting were Sarim Aziz, Director of Public Policy for South and Central Asia; Head of Public Policy for Central Asia, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives Senura Abeywardena; Head of Government Relations and Social Initiatives for Central Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan Aurora Li and Regional Manager of Public Policy for Central Asia and Mongolia Yerasyl Kalikhan.
After the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue mutual cooperation and to learn specific areas of partnership.
