In the last two years, this Olympiad has been held in an online format in accordance with the requirements of the pandemic. This year it was held offline in Uzbekistan for the first time. 12 students were selected for the national team of Uzbekistan. Seven of them study at the specialized school named after Abu Ali ibn Sina in the system of the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions.
In accordance with the rules of the Olympiad, 10% of the total number of participants will be awarded gold medals, 20% - silver and 30% - bronze medals.
Of the students who played for the national team of Uzbekistan, 10 won medals: one participant won a gold medal, 4 - a silver and 5 - a bronze.
The winners of the 56th International Mendeleev Olympiad will receive the maximum score in the entrance exams in chemistry conducted by the SCT. In addition, it is planned to accept prize-winners to Moscow State University on a preferential basis.
