The Memorandum of Understanding is aimed at promoting the mutual interests of the parties through the exchange of technologies, experience, information and human resources in the field of hydrogen and renewable energy sources.
The memorandum also provides for the establishment and development of cooperation within the framework of joint scientific and innovative projects in the field of transition to clean energy, hydrogen and renewable energy sources.
"We believe that this memorandum will support and bring to a new stage the common relations that have been developing between the two countries for many years, and will help in resolving issues related to the transition to a green economy supported by the world community," said Azim Akhmedkhadjayev, First Deputy Minister of Energy.
Within the framework of the memorandum, measures will be taken to develop the Hydrogen Center of the National Research Institute of Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy.
