"We have received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov, who is completing his activities in our country," the head of the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further development of the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations.

Mutual interest in deepening cooperation and supporting joint initiatives aimed at the benefit of both countries was emphasized. The Minister wished the Ambassador success in his future activities.

Oleg Malginov has served as the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan since March 5, 2021. Prior to his appointment, he headed the Department for Work with Compatriots Abroad at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
