The 67-year-old senator from the Syrdarya region worked as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkey in 2017-2025, and concurrently in Bulgaria since 2018, the Dune news agency reports.

After graduating from the Law Faculty of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan) in 1980, he worked as a lawyer at the Tashkent Furniture production association, and held senior positions in public and government structures. 1990-1995 - People's Deputy, Chairman of the Youth Affairs Committee of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan. Later, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including in embassies abroad, and headed manufacturing enterprises.

He speaks Russian, English and Turkish.
