During the conversation, it was emphasized that thanks to the strong political will and friendly relations between the leaders of the two states, Uzbek-Turkish relations have reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
It was noted that parliaments are playing an increasingly active role in deepening interstate cooperation. Attention was focused on the importance of parliamentary control over the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, as well as the need to strengthen cooperation between relevant committees and friendship groups.
The importance of expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, especially in the fields of education and tourism, as well as the exchange of experience between youth and regions was emphasized. Issues of deepening cooperation between the parliaments of the Turkic-speaking countries and within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, a Protocol on cooperation was signed between the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, aimed at bringing cooperation between the parliaments to a higher level.
This document provides for bringing interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey to a qualitatively new level. It is envisaged that the exchange of experience, close cooperation in the legislative activities of the legislative bodies of the two countries, as well as the establishment of their more active and systematic cooperation in areas of common interest, such as politics, economics, culture, education, youth and sports. This is not only a strengthening of friendly relations between the two States, but also an important diplomatic step contributing to stability and development in the entire region.

On the same day, the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the parliamentary library, where books and publications on the history, culture and modern development of Uzbekistan were presented.
The Chairman of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, left an entry in the Book of Honorary Guests of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral inter-parliamentary ties.
