The Friendship Festival starts in Uzbekistan on July 25

    In honor of Peoples' Friendship Day, celebrated on July 30, a "Friendship Festival" is being held in Uzbekistan from July 25 to 31.

    Within the framework of this festival, organized by the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Issues of Compatriots Abroad in cooperation with a number of departments and public organizations, various cultural, educational, scientific, practical and festive events will be held in all regions of the country, as well as in the city of Tashkent, from July 25 to 31.

    On the first day of the festival, on July 25, a flower-laying ceremony will be held at the Independence Monument, a press conference on the occasion of the Friendship Festival, exhibitions of national cultural centers under the slogan "Uzbekistan is a United Homeland" and a concert by Uzbek and Kyrgyz art masters.

    A gala concert and performances by artists from Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the Days of Kyrgyz Culture will be held on the second day of the festival.

    On the third and fourth days of the holiday, there will be a photo exhibition "The View of Friendship" at the Tashkent House of Photographers, an international exhibition and fair of folk crafts "From the heart of our native land..." in Navruz Park with the participation of craftsmen from Uzbekistan and foreign countries, and a creative meeting "Poetic Brotherhood" at the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan.

    On July 30, an international conference on "Strengthening national unity is an important basis for the development of the New Uzbekistan" will be held, as well as a ceremony of awarding the Friendship of Peoples badge at the InterContinental Tashkent Hotel, as well as a reception and awarding of winners of online contests among national cultural centers and friendship societies at the Yakkasaroy restaurant.

    Following the results of the Friendship Festival, a briefing for media representatives will be held.
