On this occasion, a meeting was held between Saida Mirziyoyeva and the Grand Imam of the "Al-Azhar" complex, the Grand Imam of Egypt Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed El-Tayeb.
During the meeting, issues related to practically realizing the mission of the "Human Fraternity" Award through promoting peace, mutual understanding, and human dignity were thoroughly discussed. The necessity of upholding and further developing the principles outlined in the Declaration of Human Fraternity and strengthening global cooperation and mutual respect among representatives of different religions and cultures was specifically noted.
Within the framework of the meeting, opportunities to expand cooperation with Al-Azhar in the areas of education, science, exchange of students and scholars, joint academic programs, and the study of manuscript sources were also discussed.
Furthermore, Saida Mirziyoyeva announced that she had the honor of visiting the "Al-Azhar" Mosque, considered one of the oldest mosques in the world. During the visit, the institution's role in the advancement of Islamic civilization and Islamic enlightenment was highly appreciated.
