A little earlier, in the weight up to 81 kg, our compatriot Sharofiddin Boltaboev became the winner of the Paris Grand Slam judo tournament. In the fight for third place, he took to the tatami against Canadian Francois Gauthier and won in extra time. It is worth noting that together with the bronze medal Sharofiddin Boltaboev earned 500 points in his rating standings.

Another of our judoka - Davlat Boronov in the weight category up to 90 kg won the bronze medal of the competition without a fight. Georgian athlete Beka Gviniashvili, the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics, did not go to the tatami because he received a hansoke, that is, a punishment for a prohibited movement. As a result, Babanov was automatically awarded the victory.

Also, our wrestler in the weight category up to 100 kg Muzaffarbek Turabayev defeated an experienced opponent from the Netherlands Michael Correl in a duel for the bronze medal.
