The candidacy of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been nominated and unanimously elected to the post of chairman of the National Olympic Committee.
The General Assembly also elected Otabek Umarov to the post of First Deputy Chairman of the NOC, Sherzod Tashmatov to the post of Deputy Chairman, Oybek Kasimov to the post of Secretary General of the committee.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Head of the Department of the Presidential Administration Odil Abdurakhmanov, Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, members of the General Assembly, as well as responsible persons of federations and associations.
