The first meeting of the Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Organization of Turkic States took place

    On October 26, 2024, Istanbul hosted the first meeting of the Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the member countries and observers of the Organization of Turkic States.

    The meeting was attended by Shokhrukh Daliyev, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    The event was also attended by Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, ministers of member and observer countries.

    The meeting was held by the Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Fatih Kajir.

    In his speech, Sh. Daliyev stressed the importance of cooperation in such key areas as research cooperation, digital transformation, technology parks and space technologies.

    In turn, it was stated that Uzbekistan is ready to support initiatives aimed at strengthening economic independence, increasing the competitiveness of Turkic countries in the world market, and deepening cooperation within the organization.

    Following the meeting, the ministers signed the Declaration of the first meeting and adopted an Action Plan aimed at developing new platforms for cooperation in such areas as high-quality infrastructure, green transformation of industry and industrial zones.

    It was decided to hold the next meeting of the Ministers of Industry, Science and Technology of the Organization of Turkic States in Azerbaijan in 2025.
