    A meeting with representatives of the Bureau of Drug Control and Law Enforcement (INL) for the Central Asia and Russia region of the U.S. Department of State was held at the office of the Nationwide Movement "Yuksalish". The purpose is to discuss the directions of promising bilateral cooperation.

    Chairman of the Yuksalish Movement Bobur Bekmurodov acquainted the guests with the main activities, goals and objectives of the organization. It was noted that OND Yuksalish strives to develop international cooperation by implementing joint projects with foreign partners. In particular, the work of the Anti-Corruption Laboratory continues, training of journalists and bloggers is organized within the framework of the Media School, increasing the potential of civil activists and NGO staff, the Tashkent International Discussion Club, etc.

    James Callahan, Senior Employee of the INL program for the Central Asia and Russia region of the US State Department, noted the role of the Yuksalish Movement in promoting reforms in Uzbekistan, including in the field of combating corruption through research in this direction. He also expressed hope in the accession of NGOs of Uzbekistan to the Anti-Corruption Network of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD/ACN)

    The management of OND "Yuksalish" announced a number of areas for cooperation. Among them is the expansion of the activities of the Anti-Corruption Laboratory, in particular, the creation of a platform for training young people and active citizens, the formation of an index of corruption perception in the regions of Uzbekistan, conducting research on the state of legal literacy of the population.

    During the talks, the parties also discussed issues of probation of recommendations and research results, tools for promoting democratic reforms in the regions of Uzbekistan, holding the Central Asian NGO Forum, expert discussion of the countries of the region, expressing hope for further development of partnership relations, the press service of the Nationwide movement "Yuksalish" reports.
