As part of the participation of the delegation of the Ministry of ICT in the Mobile World Congress "MWC Barcelona 2022" in the Kingdom of Spain, the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov met with the Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union Dorin Bogdan Martin.

The meeting discussed the involvement of IT youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Youth Summit, which will be held within the framework of the World Conference on Telecommunication Development on June 6-16, 2022, the allocation of grant funds for the Giga project aimed at protecting children in the online environment.

At the same time, the issues of attracting ITU experts and funds for the organization of VRO and OTHER centers in the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed.

Proposals have been put forward to hold the "International Day of Girls in ICT" on April 28, 2022 and to open an IT center to improve the skills of women and the younger generation in ICT.

During the meeting, an exchange of views on issues of interest to the parties took place. An agreement has been reached on the organization of joint trainings in a number of relevant IT areas, the MITC press center reports.
