The purpose of the event was to exchange views on the reforms carried out in the countries of Central Asia, strengthen ties between the regions and search for common interests, the news agency "Doone" reports.
The seminar, organized by the International Institute of Global Analysis "Vision & Global Trends", was attended by about 50 representatives of political, expert and analytical circles, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Rome.
The head of the International Institute for Global Analysis, Tiberio Graziani, praised the national referendum held in Uzbekistan and expressed confidence that its results would open up new opportunities for interregional cooperation.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan told the participants about the cardinal reforms carried out in our country. In particular, explanations were given on the content of the updated Constitution adopted on the basis of a national referendum.
The participants were very interested in the information about the results of the recent Tashkent International Investment Forum, as well as the upcoming annual conference of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The attention of the participants was drawn to the steady strengthening of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union. It was noted that Uzbekistan is determined to become a member of the World Trade Organization, active negotiations are underway with European countries on this issue.
Special attention was also paid to the relations between Uzbekistan and Italy in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The fact that Uzbekistan is becoming a permanent participant in the Venice Biennale, as well as that prestigious Italian universities are leading in our country among European educational institutions, was welcomed by the participants.
