In particular, during negotiations with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, issues of trade development, support for the private sector and increasing the competitiveness of products exported by Uzbekistan were discussed. Special attention was paid to the possibility of introducing Finland's experience in creating a favorable trading environment in our country and supporting the entry of small and medium-sized businesses into European markets.
During the meeting with representatives of the Team Finland group of companies and its key organizations, such as Business Finland, Finnvera, Finnfund and Finnpartnership, prospects for cooperation in the implementation of new projects together with well-known Finnish brands, as well as the development of effective export promotion tools and joint platforms for further partnership development were discussed.
In accordance with the program of the visit, the delegation visited the Chamber of Commerce and the Eastern Chamber of Commerce (EastCham) of Finland, where they got acquainted in detail with the portfolio of services provided by both organizations to support small and medium-sized businesses. During the negotiations, the issue of developing a program for the exchange of experience between Finnish and Uzbek entrepreneurs was agreed, which can contribute to the growth and development of business in Uzbekistan.
At the meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland, special attention was paid to the development of sustainable agriculture and expansion of export opportunities. Finnish Food Authority experts presented to the Uzbek side methods of ensuring food safety and product quality, and Fairtrade Finland specialists presented fair trade practices.
As a result of the visit, an agreement was reached on joint work on a program of measures to introduce the best Finnish practices in the relevant sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan.
