The working visit was organized in accordance with the roadmap of July 5, 2022, developed in order to expand cooperation in the field of oil and gas between Uzbekneftegaz JSC and SOCAR companies.

The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the implemented projects in the field of reducing CO2 emissions, drilling and oil sludge waste, as well as reservoir water purification.

On the first day of the visit, a meeting of the working group of Uzbekneftegaz JSC with the Vice President of SOCAR for Ecology, Rafiga Huseynzade, was organized. The program of visits to production facilities, as well as certification and trading of emissions within the framework of the European Emissions Trading System ("Emission Trading System") was discussed.

We also visited the Waste Management Center, and studied the work of the German Econ installation for cleaning spent drilling mud and extracting expensive lubricating oils. We looked at the decanter and tricanter installations designed to extract petroleum products from the solid mass of drilling mud.

During the visit, we visited an Eco-park built on the territory of the former Tagiyev oil field. This Eco-park demonstrates the possibility of restoring oil-contaminated soil by intensive tree planting and constant maintenance.

Following the results of the official visit, the specialists of Uzbekneftegaz JSC agreed on further cooperation with SOCAR in the areas studied.
