He thanked the United States for its approach to stop the war and stressed that it would have to be an agreement that would be well received in Ukraine and around the world.

"The United States can provide planes and weapons in order to support this agreement. This is the only way the world will continue. We will not give Putin the opportunity to resume this war. European leaders support us in this," Starmer said.

At the same time, the British prime minister noted that his country is ready to do everything, "including using our military personnel as peacekeepers, because this is the only way to peace."

"I am working closely with European leaders and I make it clear that the UK is ready to send ground troops and get planes in the air to support the agreement together with our allies, because this is the only way for peace to last," he added.
