A joint vocational college may open in Tashkent in cooperation with New York City

    A meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with a delegation led by the Mayor of New York City Eric Adams, reported by the Chamber's press service.

    The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber Umid Safarov, leader entrepreneurs of our country and representatives of several business associations.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further deepening mutual trade and economic cooperation, developing joint cooperation projects and expanding business relations between the two regions.

    During the meeting, Umid Safarov proposed establishing cooperation with the New York Stock Exchange to prepare Uzbek entrepreneurs for the US capital markets, creating a business school and acceleration programs in Uzbekistan with leading US universities and opening a joint vocational college in Tashkent.

    Chairperson of the Small Business Association Kamolat Mirzaalieva requested assistance in establishing cooperation with the New York Small Business Association and exporting local products to the US market.

    Entrepreneurs put forward proposals to expand the supply of agricultural products to the American market, develop biochemical products manufacturing and implement innovative projects.

    The meeting proceeded in a constructive atmosphere and is expected to contribute to bringing bilateral business cooperation to a new level.
