The parties expressed their mutual gratitude for the support in deepening bilateral cooperation. The Ambassador noted the growing presence of French companies in the strategic sectors of Uzbekistan, which was the result of ongoing reforms to improve the investment climate.
It was noted that over the past four years, the development of trade and economic partnership between the countries has significantly accelerated, and the volume of mutual trade has increased fourfold, exceeding the mark of 1 billion US dollars for the first time.
Plans to further strengthen cooperation were discussed, including the organization of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation before the end of this year.
Special attention was paid to the successful development of investment cooperation. Gratitude was expressed to the French companies MND and SUEZ for their support and assistance in the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan. Issues related to the further promotion of strategically significant initiatives involving corporations such as TotalEnergies, Eiffel, EDF, Alstom and Airbus were considered.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Laziz Kudratov thanked Aurelia Bouchez for her personal contribution to strengthening Uzbek-French relations and expressed his wishes for success in her further professional activities.
The parties confirmed their readiness to maintain a stable dynamic of cooperation and develop mutually beneficial projects in key areas of the economy.
