Uzbekistan's tourism potential is represented in Switzerland

    The Uzbek-Swiss Tourism Forum was held in Neuschatel, Switzerland, with the participation of more than 50 representatives of the tourism sector of the two countries.

    The event was organized with the cooperation of the Committee on Tourism, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, the Permanent Mission of Uzbekistan to the United Nations in Geneva and the large Swiss tour operator Rubis Voyages.

    The forum hosted a presentation of tourism opportunities and cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan. Representatives of Swiss travel companies also got acquainted with the tourist centers of Uzbekistan, unique tourist routes, transport and logistics opportunities and new tourist products.

    The parties held negotiations, discussed prospects for joint development and strengthening of tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Switzerland.

    In addition, meetings were held with Roland Schmid, Deputy Chairman of the Swiss National Tourism Association, Federico Samaruga, Head of the Tourism Development Directorate at the Ministry of Economy, Jonathan Robin, Director of the Tourism and Conventions Foundation Association, and Shirin Seitnepesova, Vice President of the Caspian Week Platform.

    During these meetings, agreements were discussed and reached on the development of cooperation in the field of tourism between the two countries, increasing the flow of tourists from Switzerland to Uzbekistan, conducting joint marketing activities to widely promote the tourism potential of our country in Europe, cooperation in the field of tourism education, exchange of mutual experience.
