Turkmenistan provided assistance to Uzbek citizens evacuated from Iran

Due to the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, Turkmenistan promptly provided its territory for the transit of foreign citizens leaving Iran. Among them are citizens of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Romania and other countries.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, about 120 people have already passed through the country's border checkpoints. All the arrivals were provided with transportation, food, temporary accommodation and basic necessities.

The Turkmen authorities work closely with embassies and international organizations, providing support within the framework of the humanitarian mission.

These actions confirm Turkmenistan's commitment to the principles of humanism, cooperation and good neighborliness, which are especially significant in the International Year of Peace and Trust, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly on the initiative of Ashgabat.
