    Tanker and cargo ship collided off the coast of Great Britain in the North Sea

    The US-flagged Stena Bulk oil tanker Stena Immaculate and the Portuguese-flagged container ship So long collided in the North Sea, The Telegraph reported, citing the British Coast Guard.

    The collision occurred off the coast of East Yorkshire to the east of the city of Hull at 09:48 local time. Apparently, the container ship crashed into an oil tanker that was anchored.

    There was a fire on two ships. Rescue vessels and a helicopter were sent to the collision site. Photos and videos taken after the collision are being posted online. Black smoke rises above the tanker.

    According to Sky News, 32 people were injured in a collision between a tanker and a container ship.

    A search and rescue operation is underway at the site, kaktus.media reports.
