This was reported by scientists from the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS and the ISSF SB RAS.
According to astrophysicists, the forecast of the geomagnetic situation for February 27 and 28 is weakly disturbed.
"In any case, the edge touch cannot become a source of extreme events, and the worst of the forecast branches contains storms of no more than the second level on a five-point scale," the astrophysicists noted.
On the eve of February 25, the Sun recorded the largest plasma release this year. The alleged source of the emission is the same active area that produced an X-2.0 flare two days ago. Scientists noted that active areas on the side of the Sun facing our planet are in the risk zone for the Earth for about another day and a half.
