Two-time Olympic champion in taekwondo WT Ulugbek Rashitov was recognized as the best taekwondo athlete in the world by the end of 2024. The prize was awarded to our compatriot within the framework of the phumseh World Championship, which is being held in Hong Kong.
The winner in this nomination was determined by voting around the world. It is gratifying that Uzbek taekwondo athletes have won such a prestigious trophy at the world level for the first time.
So far, none of our compatriots has received such recognition from the World Taekwondo Federation.

The World Taekwondo Federation WT has updated the list of allocation of permits for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. It is gratifying to note that the representative of the Uzbek national team Nikita Rafalovich joined the ranks of the participants of the Olympiad in the weight category +80 kg.
On March 15-16 this year, the Paris 2024 Taekwondo WT license tournament will be held in the city of Tai'an, China. Our taekwondo athletes, who have already traveled to China, will also take part in this competition, organized for representatives of the Asian continent.
Uzbekistan's national taekwondo team WT has completed participation in the Dutch Open in Eindhoven (Netherlands). Our compatriots have won 3 gold and 2 bronze awards at prestigious competitions.
On December 9-10, the final Grand Prix tournament in Taekwondo WT will be held in the capital of Saudi Arabia. Representatives of the national team of Uzbekistan will also take part in the competitions in which athletes who entered the TOP 16 of the world ranking in each weight will be able to take part.
