It was noted that thanks to the firm political will of the heads of the two states and the open trusting dialogue established between them, Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations have reached an unprecedented high level today.
"Kyrgyzstan is a close neighbor for us, a fraternal country with which we are bound by centuries-old ties of friendship, common history, proximity of language, culture, traditions and customs. Based on the principles of strategic partnership, we are determined to fully deepen bilateral friendly and good-neighborly relations," N. Ismoilov said in his speech.
During the meeting, the gradual development of bilateral relations in recent years, the intensification of political and economic dialogues between our countries were positively assessed.
In turn, N. Shakiyev acknowledged that Uzbekistan occupies a worthy place in the world community as an economically and politically dynamically developing country, and highly appreciated the large-scale democratic reforms carried out in the country under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the dialogue, it was noted that the parties are interested in further development of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between the two countries. In particular, there was an exchange of views on the intensification of the parliamentary dialogue between our countries, the exchange of experience in all areas of legislative activity.
The parties proposed to actively cooperate in enhancing the role of parliaments in further expanding interregional cooperation, to intensify direct contacts between deputies of the border regions and to develop a joint work plan for the implementation of the agreements reached.
During the meeting, which took place in a sincere and friendly atmosphere, the parties agreed to take cooperation to a new level.
