During the talks, the current state and further measures to accelerate the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz Republic in January this year were discussed.
The sides stressed the historical significance of this visit, which gave a powerful incentive to build up bilateral multifaceted relations within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
In this context, the timeliness and wide range of the solid package of documents signed during the visit were noted. The current stages and upcoming joint plans for the accelerated implementation of the agreements reached in the fields of chemical and textile industry, mechanical engineering, textile, pharmaceutical, leather and footwear products, building materials, electrical engineering, as well as in the field of energy, agriculture, transport, logistics and tourism are considered.
In particular, the parties discussed the implementation of agreements on the creation of intensive gardens and high-tech greenhouses in the territories of the two countries. Specific locations and initiators of joint projects have already been identified. Readiness was expressed to provide comprehensive assistance to representatives of the business community to accelerate project work.
There was also an exchange of views on cooperation in the energy sector. The necessary documents are being prepared for adoption as part of the construction of the Kambaratinskaya HPS-1.
The article considers the activities of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund as one of the most important tools for co-financing investment initiatives in order to increase industrial cooperation and create interconnected value chains between producers of the two countries.
As a result of the negotiations, the commitment was expressed to continue close joint work in all areas discussed and the format of further cooperation was agreed in order to accelerate the implementation of the projects and initiatives considered, the press service of the MIPT reports.
