In particular, Fuat Oktay noted the following: "We believe that Uzbekistan is not only the cradle of a single Turkic civilization for all of us, but also a strong state that plays a strategic role in ensuring peace and security throughout the Central Asian region today. The more intensive and active the inter-parliamentary cooperation on the development of relations between our countries in various directions becomes, the more effective and stable the results of our bilateral comprehensive dialogue will be. In this light, we have high hopes that fraternal Uzbekistan will soon become a full member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking States."
