Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan intend to increase the volume of trade in agricultural products

    Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are aiming to increase the turnover of agricultural products.

    According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, the discussion of this topic took place during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Agriculture Elchin Zeynalov (during a working visit to Uzbekistan) and Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Akram Aliyev, EastFruit reports.

    Elchin Zeynalov stressed that Azerbaijan is interested in deepening cooperation with Uzbekistan, including in the agricultural sector, one of the key directions of which is to increase the turnover of agricultural products.

    The officials drew attention to the significant potential for cooperation between the two countries in such areas as the exchange of modern technologies, agricultural education and agricultural research.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of increasing trade in agricultural products, as well as cooperation in such areas as crop production, horticulture, sericulture, agricultural education and research.
