According to the Al Ayyam newspaper, the conference was organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and brought together representatives of governments and financial departments of several countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, paying special attention to cooperation in the financial and economic sphere. The representative of Bahrain noted the steady development of partnership between the two countries and expressed interest in further expanding cooperation in a wider range of areas.
Following the talks, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Finance and National Economy of Bahrain and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan. The document is aimed at strengthening the institutional framework for cooperation, exchanging experience and knowledge, as well as developing a dialogue on issues of mutual interest.
The agreement provides for holding regular consultative meetings, organizing joint conferences, and setting up working groups or expert teams to develop joint action plans. It is expected that the implementation of the memorandum will contribute to deepening financial and economic cooperation and support for the long-term common goals of the two countries.
