One of the largest modern Belgian companies "John Cockerill Group" was founded almost 200 years ago, namely in 1817, by the entrepreneur John Cockerill, as a business for the production of technical equipment and steel, which later turned into the economic flagship of the Wallonia region, reports IA "Dunyo".
Today, John Cockerill Group is actively looking at new promising markets, especially in Central Asia, and is looking for reliable partners in the countries of the region.
The interlocutors noted that the company is watching with great interest the dynamic development of the economy of Uzbekistan and the improvement of the investment and business environment in the republic in recent years.
In their opinion, Uzbekistan is a capacious and constantly expanding market with growing needs and significant strategic opportunities in areas that are priorities for European business. Representatives of John Cockerill Group see renewable energy as the most promising areas of cooperation, especially the construction of solar power plants.
"Uzbekistan is taking very important comprehensive measures to realize its energy potential and optimize energy consumption. There are already a lot of power generating facilities in the country, and our company is ready to contribute to the modernization and increase of their productivity," Pierre Lambott highlighted.
Representatives of the Belgian business also noted the establishment of positive dynamics of Uzbekistan's cooperation with private economic actors, investors from Europe, the Persian Gulf, who are increasingly closely and widely interacting with the republic in the energy sector.
