    Minister of Health Asilbek Khudayarov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Walid Fouk and Special Representative of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France for the export of medical services Georges-Fabrice Blum, who headed the French delegation.

    According to the World Health Organization, the French healthcare system holds high positions in the ranking due to the availability of medical services, the absence of queues and the coverage of all segments of the population with qualified care. In this regard, the expansion of cooperation with France in the medical field is relevant and mutually beneficial.

    It should be recalled that in March of this year, during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France, agreements were reached on the development of cooperation in a number of areas, including healthcare. An additional step was the holding of the First Uzbekistan-France Medical Forum in Paris, during which the strengthening of ties between the clinics of the two countries was discussed.

    The meeting at the Ministry of Health provided an opportunity to identify new promising areas of cooperation. During the negotiations, measures were discussed to bring cooperation to a new level, in particular:

    · diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases using advanced methods;

    · improvement of the emergency medical care system;

    · professional development of specialists;

    · expanding investment opportunities for French companies;

    · introduction of robotic technologies in surgery.

    The issues of establishing direct links between clinics and hospitals of the two countries were also considered. Representatives of the French companies that were part of the delegation got acquainted with the needs of the Uzbek healthcare system and presented specific proposals for cooperation.

    Among the promising areas of cooperation are oncology, urology, robotic surgery, personnel training, the development of pediatrics and air ambulance, the organization of trauma clinics in tourist areas, the use of innovative methods in the treatment of osteoporosis, as well as the introduction of European standards for emergency care in mountainous areas and ensuring the safety of medicines.

    It was noted that Uzbekistan is interested in studying and implementing the advanced French experience in the diagnosis, therapy and conduct of complex surgical operations. This will expand the use of modern medical technologies and digital solutions aimed at early detection and effective treatment of diseases.
